Storytelling Totems with Heather Wolynic
Week 1 – June 5-8 Monday-Thursday from 9:30am to 12:30pm
Ages: 6-11
The stories that totem poles tell may be a myth, a legend, or to honor families from different cultures. The crest on a totem pole belongs to a family to tell their story. Each student’s creativity will be cultivated through sculpting and mixed media painting to create a storytelling totem pole.

Boho Chic and Cosmic Crafting with Lisa Carlson

Week 1, June 5-8 Monday-Thursday from 9:30am to 12:30pm
Ages: 6-11
Students will combine fashion and fine craft to create their own Boho Chic art during this delightfully decorative camp session! Projects include illuminating lanterns, beautiful batiks, mystical mandalas, beaded jewelry, and wonderful weavings. Students should dress for a creative mess each day.

Cave Art of Lascaux, France and Altamira, Spain with Fontaine Rodgers

Week 1, June 5-8 Monday-Thursday, 1:30-4:30pm
Ages: 8-13
Students will explore the famous Paleolithic horses, rhinoceros, elk, and other animals based on the 17,000-year-old cave art of Lascaux and Altamira. Students will create their own cave paintings using a variety of media.

Improvisation with Mike Philips

Week 2, June 12-15 Monday-Thursday from 9:30am to 12:30pm

Ages: 6-11
In this session students will learn basic improvisation skills through the use of stock characters. Students will learn techniques to develop ad-libbing and ensemble trust. Each student will collaborate with other students by writing, rehearsing and producing characters for an original improvisation performance. Little to no acting experience required.

Vibrant Volcanoes & Giant Jungles with Eliza Midgett
Week 2, June 12-15 Monday-Thursday from 9:30am to 12:30pm
Ages: 6-11
Students will use a combination of materials to create a unique and glittery mixed media volcano! Students will also create their own imaginative collaged jungle scene, inspired by artist Rousseau.

Stage Movement Teen Class with Mike Philips

Week 2, June 12-15 Monday-Thursday, 1:30-4:30pm

Ages: 12-up

In this session students will learn basic stage movement and combat skills through techniques to develop stage confidence and stage presence. Students will collaborate with other students by writing, rehearsing and producing an action stage play. Little to no acting experience required.

Vibrant Volcanoes and Giant Jungles with Eliza Midgett
Week 3, June 19-22 Monday-Thursday from 9:30am to 12:30pm
Ages: 6-11
Students will use a combination of materials to create a unique and glittery mixed media volcano! Students will also create their own imaginative collaged jungle scene, inspired by artist Rousseau.

DIY Dollhouse and Forts with Lisa Carlson
Week 3, June 19-22 Monday-Thursday from 9:30am to 12:30pm
Ages: 6-11
Students will create their own dream spaces that double as a “dollhouse” for their own dolls or fort for their characters or creatures. They will create houses or forts by painting, sculpting, weaving and so much more which can be used for playing all summer long! Students should dress for a creative mess each day.
