Tchello_Thor 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Lovely and very calm park! Rick at the ferry was so nice and friendly! No fees to enter or use the ferry. They have kayaks and canines for rental also a small shop. Two different bathroom locations and one water fountain by the entrance The wet trail was shaded and very pleasant ( flat) The ranger was very attentive and explained about the recent controlled fire I loved the peacefulness of this park!

Holly Smith 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★My husband and I stayed two nights in a tent at the campsite and had a wonderful time. We also rented a canoe all day Saturday to travel down to Blue Springs state park and back. Loved having the wheelbarrows to help transport all of our gear onto the ferry and island and back again to our car. Plus having the attendees, pick us up from our campsite to take us out front to the ferry was a blessing for sure. Being out in nature and seeing all of the wildlife, I highly recommend a camping adventure at Hontoon Island Park.

Mark Neenan 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★We had a great time! Free boat ride and entry! Took our bikes and rode all over the park. Bob was a great boat captain! Harry was so friendly and showed us cabins! William went out of his way to show us some extra sights! Such a friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Arnaud Desies 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Great hike in the Hammock Nature Hiking trail and seeing the huge oak at Bear tree landing! All of which can be done in a few hours, but you will be stopping a lot to take pictures! Also a nice shell mound left from the natives at the end of the hiking trail.
