The peaceful natural setting makes it a favorite among local and visiting nature lovers.
I stayed here for about four months, and I’ll be honest… at first, I wasn’t impressed. It’s pretty simple. Basically a road leading down to the Intracoastal with a long dock (around 250 ft), and not much else in terms of flashy amenities. But here’s where it flips. The people at this campground? Absolutely top-tier. This place somehow attracts the kind of folks who actually show up for each other. Holidays, birthdays, random cookouts… if there was an excuse to gather, they took it. And when I went through one of the most terrifying moments of my life—my two-year-old getting out of the camper while I was still asleep—it was those same people who stepped in. He’s okay because of them. That’s not something you forget. (And yes, we now run a full Fort Knox setup: triple locks and door alarms. Lesson learned the hard way.) Now, not everything was sunshine and campfires. I had a pretty big issue with the owner. Communication wasn’t great, and the management style felt more like constant micromanaging without really understanding individual situations. The rules also seemed… selective, depending on who you were. That part wore me down fast. Eventually, my husband pulled the plug because of the stress it was putting on me, and we moved to another campground. But here’s the weird part… I miss this place. I miss the people. I miss the fishing. I definitely miss the shrimping—that alone almost makes you forget everything else. This place has a rough edge, sure, but it’s got heart. Final verdict? If you can handle a little grit, say yes sir when needed, and don’t mind a few bumps along the way, you’ll probably do just fine here. If not… you might want to keep rolling down the road. Either way, this campground left a mark—and not the kind you just wash off. I also wanted to add now that I've tried fishing and shrimping all over volusia county ... This place had me spoiled! Can walk down and catch something every single time no matter time of day/night... Miss this so much!

We stayed in the Manatee cabin and it was a 10/10. This is not what you would expect at a fish camp...this place was super clean, the park was quiet and the view was amazing. The neighbors were nice and even got invited to a fish fry. The a/c was cold and the check in/out instructions were clear. The cabin had everything you could need for your stay along with nice water pressure and it gets hot. Would definitely recommend!!

Cabins are clean and everything works including A/C. Docks are convenient with cleaning stations, rinse down, new grilles, all work good. I see why whole families would vacation here.

Loved this darling cabin directly on the river. Everything was perfect for our needs. Christine hooked me up with a local boat rental company, boat was delivered to "our" dock for easy access. Highly recommend!

From the beginning we fell in love with being right on the water. There’s something so peaceful and special about waking up to those views every day, but what really made this place unforgettable was the people. Christine and Bull were welcoming. The sense of community here is something rare. The cookouts, the laughter, the friendships we created memories that will stay with us forever. Leaving is bittersweet. It’s hard to say goodbye to a place and to the people who have meant so much to us. This wasn’t just an RV park to us it was a home. We are beyond grateful for our time here and already look forward to the day we can come back and visit. Bull and Christine thank you once again for everything.

We had made reservations and during our conversation I had explained some of the hiccups we'd already had on our trip. She told me not to worry, if we need to change, cancel or leave early, we would be given a full refund. That's so nice and considerate. Then the day we were supposed to go, I had a medical emergency which caused us to have to cancel and head home. They were wonderful and never charged us. I haven't seen the property in person but we were excited about staying there.
