One of the finest raw bars anywhere. Truly an experience. The staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The food is authentic and fresh. The attention to detail is second to none. I’ll start with the saltines fried in beef tallow. I bet you can’t eat just one. It was my first time having the local NSB Sharkbite oysters. They didn't disappoint. Yes, they had the typical cocktail sauce and horseradish, but the cucumber and fennel sauce really worked with the brine of these oysters. Their conch fritters rival the best I’ve eaten in the Bahamas. The clams in wine and butter sauce were perfection. We also ordered clam chowder/stew. Another home run. If you’re looking for fresh seafood in NSB that’s prepared to perfection, The Local Pearl Oyster Shoppe is hard to beat.

Such an amazing place, Louie was an exceptional bartender. I appreciate all the recommendations on the oysters. The pearls catch was phenomenal I loved the swordfish over the mashed potatoes! He made our experience elevated and is the reason we will be telling all of our friends we are coming back! His drinks were phenomenal, I honestly wish more places had people like him to make the place more enjoyable. Thank you for an amazing evening

If you think The Local Pearl is just another raw bar, you're seriously selling it short. The oysters are as fresh as they come, with an incredible selection that lets each variety shine. Whether you like them raw or dressed up, the quality is obvious from the first bite. The conch salad instantly transports you to a little conch shack in the Bahamas. It's bright, citrusy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with tender conch that has just the right bite. Every forkful tastes fresh and refreshing. The conch fritters are everything they should be—crispy and golden on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, with generous chunks of conch and incredible flavor that keeps you reaching for another. And the charbroiled oysters... wow. Rich, buttery, smoky, and bubbling with garlic, cheese, butter, and seasoning that perfectly complements the oyster instead of overpowering it. They put the competition to shame. Don't make the mistake of overlooking the spicy collard greens. They're absolutely packed with flavor, slow-cooked with beer, then kicked up another notch with freshly crushed pepper at the end. They're smoky, savory, and just spicy enough to keep you coming back for another bite. They may be a side dish, but they deserve to be the star of the table. What really makes The Local Pearl special, though, is the people. From the incredibly talented chef in the kitchen to the oyster shuckers behind the bar, you can tell everyone genuinely cares about what they're serving. A special shoutout to Dave and Jen (Sous Chef... Holla!) for making every visit feel like you're hanging out with friends while enjoying some of the best seafood around. The Local Pearl isn't just a raw bar; it's a destination. Fresh seafood, incredible flavors, and a staff that makes you feel right at home. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out.

Delicious, fresh food and lovely service!! We visit NSB every couple months and we stumbled upon this spot while we were on Canal Street. My husband loves oysters and he fell in love with the curated variety, including a local Sharkbite oyster. I tried the lobster roll and it was absolutely delightful — super fresh and the toasted bun was perfection. The service was warm and friendly; very knowledgeable staff and you can tell they really enjoy what they do. We can’t wait to come back 😊

We stopped by today to check out this restaurant as we have always loved their food and drink from previous restaurants. We started with a selection of six oysters and they were so good we got six more. The local Shark Bite Oysters were fantastic! We ordered the Mussel Pot and the Jelly Donuts. The order of mussels was more than enough to share and super tasty. The bread that was served with them was so fresh. The Jelly Donuts are conch fritters drizzled with honey with four in the serving. There is a spicy flavor then a sweet flavor that makes these so unique and delicious! A nice variety of wine and beers are available. Looking forward to going again and trying the fried chicken!

We had such a wonderful experience at The Local Pearl Oyster Shoppe! The seafood was incredibly fresh, every dish was full of flavor, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable and want to stay a little longer. A special thank you to our server, Kateryna. As a fellow Ukrainian, it was such a pleasure to meet her! She was genuinely welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful throughout our meal. She made sure we had everything we needed, offered great recommendations, and her friendly personality made our visit even more memorable. Outstanding food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere—everything you could ask for. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend asking for Kateryna if you visit. She truly made our experience exceptional! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So we are locals. While waking to another great restaurant we decided to stop in and try the food. We were blown away by the service and the taste of the food! Fresh local caught oysters, an amazing cole slaw and a Cajun/vodka sauce andouille shrimp mussels meal. OMG! I’d gladly pay a normal price for such great tasting food. Also bought a bottle of wine at a reasonable price. So, don’t walk by, stop in and enjoy a great expierence. We will be back. 🤫 don’t tell anyone. Locals only!

We stopped by for lunch with two dogs so we ate outside. The waitress was lovely. They were out of the Maine oysters, but the local NSB option and the third on the menu (Cape Cod?) were great with the mignonette. The jelly roll fritters were also excellent. Try a Narragansett!
