Eve Carter 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Wonderful dinner last night at Norwood’s in New Smyrna Beach. My son-in-law had never been to this restaurant before, so we chose to eat in the Treehouse section, which is up inside a beautiful, huge oak tree. They had live music playing, which was really nice. We made reservations but ended up arriving a little early. They did not skip a beat and accommodated us immediately. We started out with a server named Sarah. She was very patient with us as we waffled back and forth on choices. We finally settled on an appetizer of zucchini bread. It was to die for. It was like having dessert first! Before the main courses could be delivered, however, I heard rumbling, checked the radar on my phone, and saw that there was a thunderstorm coming. I asked the hostess if we would be allowed to go downstairs into the main restaurant, and that was immediately arranged. Once downstairs, we had a second server named Kylie. She also didn’t skip a beat and made sure that our entrées got to us promptly. She was very attentive during dinner, as well as pleasant and helpful. We had the fried shrimp, which was very delicately breaded and fried, and it was delicious. My son-in-law had the pork chop and commented on how flavorful the glaze on top was. We ended the dinner by sharing a piece of Oreo cheesecake, which was very good. Norwood’s is one of my favorite restaurants. I have been coming here for years. In fact, I have been coming here since the 1960s, when the restaurant was a screened-in fish camp with bare concrete floors, Formica and chrome tables, and mismatched chairs. In those days, we went for the fingerling catfish. It has changed so much through the years, but it remains one of the must-do experiences in New Smyrna Beach.

Carly Marcinkoski 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★My mom and I had dinner here at the Treehouse Bar while on a weekend vacation. It was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views, great music, wonderful service and the food was fantastic. My mom had the scallops- which I tried, and they were the best scallops I have had in a very long time. The dessert was to die for- the S’mores Brownie and Ice Cream. Incredible. Will definitely come back next time we are in town.

AJ Farinosi 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★So our first time in the New Smyrna/Daytona Shores area to visit friends, and they recommended Norwood's Eatery & Bar Treehouse for afternoon drinks. The design is incredible, they did an outstanding job of using the natural beauty of this Grand Tree and mixing it with a classy/beachy vibe. We sat at the bar in the second floor of the Treehouse that provided a relaxing environment and very welcoming Staff. While interacting with most of the Staff we primarily talked with Alexis, she made you feel like a regular whether you were or not. Alexis was phenomenal, very knowledgeable with their wine and drink menu allowing her to provide great options depending on things you like. We also had great experiences with Sidney, Jackson, and Bri, all assisted in making our visit enjoyable. We planned on drinks, maybe an appetizer, but decided to give dinner a go. As expected, Alexis' knowledge of the food menu was on point as she provided great recommendations for dinner. We started with the in house made Zucchini Bread appetizer, simply delicious. For our main courses we had the Prime Sirloin Steak Special, Grilled Shrimp, Sea Scallops, and 4 oz Filet. Everything was perfectly prepared and seasoned, too include the sides, absolutely delightful. Overall, I wish Norwood's was closer to home (Huntsville, AL) because it would be on our frequent flyer list of GoTo restaurants, whether for drinks and appetizers or dinner. If in the area definitely don't miss out of this Gem!

Jay Waller 4 out of 5 stars★★★★☆Had a really good experience at Norwood’s Restaurant & Treehouse Bar and can definitely see why it’s such a popular spot in New Smyrna. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit — the environment is awesome, unique, and has a great vibe from the moment you walk in. We started with the Bacon-Wrapped Scallops, Fish Dip, and Stuffed Mushrooms. The Fish Dip and Bacon-Wrapped Scallops were the standouts for us — both were packed with flavor and very well done. For dinner, I had the Gorgonzola Ribeye cooked medium rare. The flavor was very good, although for the price I expected it to be a little more tender. My wife ordered the Almond-Crusted Grouper, which was good, but didn’t quite rise to the level of great. One pleasant surprise was the house salad with ranch — simple, fresh, and really enjoyable. A big shoutout to our server, Shayne, who did a fantastic job and made the evening even better with great service and attention throughout the meal. We arrived right at 5 PM and got seated immediately, which was great, although parking was still a little tight even that early. Overall, a very good experience with a fun atmosphere, solid food, and excellent service. Definitely a place to try if you get the chance.
