At Poseidon Fishing Charters you are guaranteed to have the most memorable fishing experience of a lifetime! Born and raised here in New Smyrna Beach, Captain George has been fishing the local waterways since he was a kid. He is locally known as the happiest guy in town, so expect positive vibes throughout your trip. His family owns and operates the iconic beachside diner, The Beacon, where you are more than welcome to bring your catch and have it served your way for dinner!
Step aboard Poseidon (The Greek God of the Sea), a completely restored 23ft Contender. You’ll find cushioned seating for up to 6 people, a comfy bean bag, a portable toilet for your convenience, JL Audio Sound System with Bluetooth Capability (feel free to play your own cruising tunes - we love music!), and a Yeti Cooler with ice available for your own beverages, lunch, and/or snacks. You’ll also find a removable enclosed isinglass windshield to protect against rain and wind, a saltwater wash-down hose, and insulated in-floor fish boxes to store your fresh catch until it hits the fillet table when we return to the dock!
For inshore fishing we offer day or night charters, targeting Red and Black Drum, Speckled Sea Trout, Snook, and Tarpon. Head offshore and expect to catch a wide variety of fish which include Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, King Mackerel, Grouper, Trigger Fish, Cobia, Amberjacks, and many different species of Snapper!
Ice cold bottled water and Gatorade will be included in your charter. If you would like lunch provided, we have a specialized menu from The Beacon that you may order from. Just let Captain George know when booking your trip that you would like a lunch option,
There will be a First Mate on board as well to assist you with ALL of your needs whatever they may be, and to ensure you have the best experience possible. Gratuity of 20% is expected and greatly appreciated.
We provide all permits, rods, bait, tackle, and we even offer to fillet and bag your catch free of charge.

jake hobsonIf you want to go CATCH some fish, this is the place to do it, my family of 5 (all girls) had the best time out on a shark fish, can't wait to do it again, from making reservations, to getting on the boat and staying out of the storms they did a phenomenal job, we caught a 9'+ lemon shark pluses other fish they fileted amd we took the the hook and was awesome

David StierCaptains George and Lance are awesome! It was a tough bite and they worked really hard to get us some good fish to take home and we had lots of fun fighting some big ones at the end of the day. 45min to get them to the boat. They were also wonderful working with my 11 year-old so I could also enjoy fishing with my adult son. My 11 year-old said "it was officially the best day of my life!" I highly recommend going out w/ Poseidon!

PETE KLIRONOMOSTook my Toronto family out after the recent TS Debby and we had a great time snatching 6 reds (3 oversized at 32”, 34” & 35”) and 4 mangroves after a 2:30 pm launch with wind and light rain sprinkles… Got back to the dock by 6:15 pm and landed these right on the grill… Saltwater to our grill in 30 minutes… TIP: Always TIP before the trip…!
