We have lived here 4 years gone through multiple owner/managers. We have gone from family owned caring community to corporate. Which has after the price increase and multiple rule increases for minimal upgrades. We have I feel good intentions from the companies but, they hire these God complex managers that use fear and threats on elderly residents. Some is understanding, keep your property neat and clean which everyone has. With the exception of a few. Unfortunately we have known drug dealers in here, people renting rooms, people letting homeless stay and constantly stealing from our residents. Our lot rent has almost doubled in the four years since we moved in. With the promise of yearly increase. That is slightly understandable. But the constant threats from the office in the day and worry of theaf at night makes living here questionable. We love the neighbors that have become family, but we need a community/manager that is caring and not so threatening. This is completely my opinion and experience. That it as you wish.

After visiting family here in Port Orange we decided we wanted a vacation home 6 months out of the year so we had our daughter looking at homes for us in varies parks. Tanglewood was the cleanest,friendliest park we visited. Upon finding our home we were here less than 6 months and decided to become full time residents! The amenities are awesome clubhouse very clean as is the pool. Residents are expected to keep their homes/lot attractive and well groomed which only makes others look nicer. When we moved in we were bombarded with gossip about the office personnel and varies neighbors. Since we have been here July 2022 we are on our 2nd management team. Other than 1st manager over charging us $2000 at closing and eventually getting it back we had no problems with them. Sometimes I think you get what you give… I was under the impression that as long as you followed rules, kept your home/lot groomed nicely there would be no tiffs with management. In less than 6 months of moving into park it was sold again and lot rent went up. But I guess you get what you pay for, we wanted to live in Tanglewood because it was one of the nicer parks… Our new manager Kim is one of the nicest you’ll ever meet. Yes there are rules and she expects you as a resident to follow them. After all I feel our park is one of the nicest because of management. She is a manager during office hrs, and a friend/neighbor on off hrs. If you want to live in a super nice park where management & neighbors all care about one another then this is the place for you..I wouldn’t think twice about buying here again. It’s Home!!
