The New Smyrna Beach Area is looking its best just in time for summer. More than 4 miles of shoreline have been reinforced through Volusia County’s South Berm Project, helping protect the coast while creating a wider, more resilient beach to enjoy.
With beach access fully restored ahead of Memorial Day and new dune plantings underway, it’s a great time to get outside and experience it—whether you’re joining a cleanup or simply spending time by the water.
Join the community on September 9 to keep the New Smyrna Beach Area beautiful. Coastal Cleanups at the 27th Ave beach ramp bring locals and visitors together for a meaningful morning by the ocean. All are welcome to lend a hand and make a difference.
RSVP by email to ellis@visitnsbfla.com to participate!
Can’t make this one? An additional cleanup date is coming up on October 14—more chances to get involved.
From oceanfront condos and pet-friendly retreats to spacious rentals just steps from the shoreline, visitors will find accommodations to suit every type of getaway.
Our stay options provide travelers with comfortable, convenient places to stay while they explore the experiences, attractions, and coastal charm that make New Smyrna Beach unforgettable. Whatever your travel style, you’ll find the perfect home base for your next visit.
New Smyrna Beach has been recognized among the “World’s Top 20 Surf Towns” by National Geographic and as one of Surfer Magazine’s “Best Surf Towns in America.”
With steady, year-round waves and a welcoming surf community, NSB offers conditions ideal for both beginners and pros. Surf schools and rental shops line the coast, ready to help you catch your first — or your next — wave.
