LeslieAlways love coming here. Today I found two painted rocks and a painted shell. Was able to get some great pictures of spider webs and flowers. There was a wedding going on so there was nice music being played live. It was the perfect weather a perfect day to visit there. It seems that the southern tussock caterpillar has invaded Port Orange. I first saw them here while walking around and then we went to Riverwalk Park afterward and there were hundreds there everywhere on everything. I did happen to see probably 10 to 20 of them here at Sugar Mill.

Wind Tree StudiosThis small park literally has something for everybody and it's a great destination for all ages. From beautifully manicured beds and soaring stately trees to large dinosaurs and whimsical art placements throughout the entire park. There is also extremely serious history here as well. The the Old Sugar Mill is one of the best I've ever seen and it's exquisitely preserved under a lovely enclosure. Above all, it's very obvious that this place is well loved and has been a significant part of this community for a very long time. I would definitely recommend visiting here and we look forward to coming again.

Angie DWe’ve been to this lovely park about 5 times. Everytime we go it’s different depending on the time of year. What a beautiful and peaceful place! Incredible trees, flowers and plants. Benches throughout. Clean restrooms, some plants for sale and books to read while you’re there. Secret little gardens, asian garden and a gnome village that’s adorable! And so much more. It’s never crowded. A must see!!!

Mairin KirchheimerWhat a lovely garden! The layout according to theme is fabulous, for example, native plants, flowering garden, herb garden, Florida hammock, and encourages you to explore. The scattered concrete dinosaurs, the remainders of an attempt at a theme attraction are fun, and the history of the Dunlawton Sugar Plantation is interesting. It is well worth your time. Kudos to the amazing volunteers who make this garden possible. It is free but please leave a donation.

ray weithmanWe stopped in to check out the Dunlawton Sugar Mill Gardens while visiting the Daytona area. This small garden surrounds the old ruins of a sugar mill from the 19th century. We had a picnic lunch and wondered through the paths that wind through the park. The garden is maintained by volunteers and is free to visit A great place to stop and stretch.
