Excellent staff and Doctor Abreu is wonderful. He is personable and personally calls his patients with test results. I am a new client, and I am so happy I have found an awesome team at Halifax Veterinary. I was not happy with my former vet and the staff at Halifax even had my dog's records transferred from past vet so I wouldn't have to deal with them. The facility is clean and welcoming. Scotty the house kitty loved my dog. They sat together. Scotty made my Snickers feel right at home. I can't say enough about the fantastic experience with them.

We brought our senior cat in because she was having some health issues. We were able to get an appointment with Dr. Abreu shortly after calling. Dr. Abreu and the entire staff were kind, compassionate, and patient throughout the visit. They quickly ran the necessary tests, explained the findings clearly, and started treatment right away. We truly appreciated the excellent care and would highly recommend them.

Today I took my 2.5 yr old cat Sugar to Halifax Veterinary Center and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Corda and Denisia, the vet tech. Two years ago, Sugar nearly died under anesthesia at another well-known vet clinic in Port Orange after receiving too much gas. Thankfully, she was resuscitated, but ever since then I have been absolutely terrified to have her undergo any procedure requiring anesthesia. From the moment I met Dr. Corda, I felt a sense of peace. Her years of experience, knowledge, and genuinely compassionate personality immediately put me at ease. Before scheduling Sugar's spay surgery, Dr. Corda performed blood work, an EKG, and chest X-rays to make sure it would be as safe as possible. That level of thoroughness meant the world to me. Sugar is semi-feral, so getting her to the appointment required gabapentin and a tranquilizer. I was honestly more worried about someone getting hurt than I was about anything else. Then Denisia stepped in. She was calm, confident, and fearless—truly a cat whisperer. She reached right into the carrier and gently removed Sugar while staying completely composed. I think my heart stopped, but she never seemed rattled for a second. Everyone at Halifax Veterinary Center was warm, kind, and reassuring. I was probably more anxious than my cat, but every member of the team went above and beyond to calm my fears and help me feel comfortable moving forward with Sugar's surgery. After two years of listening to Sugar howl through every heat cycle because I was so afraid, I honestly wish I had found this clinic much sooner! If your pets are family, I wholeheartedly recommend Halifax Veterinary Center. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Corda, Denisia, and the entire staff for the compassion and exceptional care they showed us. Please keep Sugar in your thoughts and prayers as she undergoes her spay surgery this week. 🩷🫶🐾🙏

Very thorough exam of my cat. Dr. Key explained the results of tests in detail and recommended various treatments. Staff worked with me to keep costs affordable. Everyone was polite and professional and went out of their way to accommodate me. Excellent clinic! Highly recommend!!

We have a very anxious dog that doesn’t respond well to strangers but Dr. Abreu is amazing with her. His calm demeanor and patience allows her to have a great experience during a “not so fun,” activity (in her opinion). He is gentle and literally gets on the floor with her to ease her anxiety. I highly recommend Dr.Abreu, especially if you have a furry family member who needs the EXTRA TLC.
