Brenda Sullivan 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★This is probably the best library I’ve been to in Florida. I like that there’s a wide selection of books. The kids area is nice and they put on fun activities for kids like art and animal visits. The staff are very patient with children and helpful. Only wish the building had more space. It seems kind of small for how big port Orange is growing. There’s not much room at story time sometimes, but the librarian is great so it’s worth being crowded. Plus it’s all free. They even have baking pans you can borrow!

Sean Senko 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★This has been my home branch of the Volusia County Public Library System since 2003, when I moved here from Southern California. I became a regular at the chess club program which was run here for many years, and this program changed my life in many ways. I became a competitive chess player as a result of the club, and the program's director, Steve Lampkin, later became my stepfather after spending countless hours with me, my siblings, and my mother. It is also a great place to go if you work remotely and just want to get out of the house, as there are a bunch of power strips and desk space along part of one wall. The only issue I had with this was not having scrap paper readily available when I needed it (though I probably could've asked the reference librarians). There often seemed to be a jigsaw puzzle on one table as of the last time I was visiting regularly, which was before COVID. Current daily issues of publications like The Wall Street Journal are available near the reference area. If you want the most recent issue, you have to turn in your library card temporarily at the reference desk (but you'll get it back once you return the item). The DVDs in this library's collection are numerous, and I was able to acquire two of the Indiana Jones movies and the Japanese movie Ran (1980) from this collection to watch within the comfort of my own home, without having to buy or rent the movies! I haven't been here very recently, but this has always been one of my favorite branches of the Volusia County Public Library System. And as the times have changed, so has this library. So check it out if you haven't already.

Jeannette Mittra 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★This is a great library. There's always something going on here, the librarians are super friendly, and they even have specialty baking pans available to check out for your special occasion. I always check out their non-profit used book sale racks, too, where you can get books, assorted dads, cds and even puzzles and a small selection of magazines. They have computers available for in-house use, and a nice teen section.

Jessica Dawkins 4 out of 5 stars★★★★☆A quaint local library offering educational kids' programs and interactive homeschool classes. A bit limited of a book selection. There are many friendly and knowledge staff members here, especially those in the children’s programs. Unfortunately, since I frequent this library, I’ve come upon some purposefully unhelpful ones, which I have found disappointing. I did notice that security can be a little harsh on water bottles, even if you have a small child with you or prefer not to use the library water fountain.
