Tracey J Plechas 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **10/10 – A Hidden Gem!** The Seahorse Inn is truly one of New Smyrna Beach's best-kept secrets. It brought back so many memories of growing up and staying at those classic motels in Wisconsin Dells—simple, welcoming, nostalgic, and exactly what they're meant to be. If you know, you know. The location is unbeatable. We parked our car on Friday and didn't get back in it until checkout on SUnday because everything was within walking distance—the beach, restaurants, bars, and shops. You simply can't ask for a better location. What really sets this place apart is the people. We were greeted by Stacey on Friday with their delicious homemade rum punch and a chocolate chip cookie—a perfect way to start the weekend. On Saturday, I met the office manager, Don, who I learned is also an author. I ended up buying one of his books! On Sunday, Brenda in the front office made our checkout just as enjoyable as our arrival. Every single person we met was genuinely kind, welcoming, and made us feel like family. Another huge bonus is the guest beach room stocked with complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, pop-up tents, bikes, beach toys, and more. It's such a thoughtful touch and saved us from having to bring or rent anything. The rooms may have a vintage feel, but they were some of the cleanest accommodations I've ever stayed in. For the price, you simply cannot beat the value. One of my favorite parts was the seating outside each room. As someone who enjoys meeting new people, I loved sitting outside, chatting with other guests, and making new friends. It created such a fun, relaxed atmosphere that you just don't find at larger hotels. This was an absolutely fabulous weekend, and I honestly can't wait to come back. If you're looking for luxury, this may not be your place. But if you're looking for a clean, charming, nostalgic stay with incredible hospitality, an unbeatable location, and amazing value, the Seahorse Inn is a 10 out of 10. We'll definitely be back!

Nancy Lee 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Owners recommended a driver so I can get a trustworthy ride from daytona airport instead of some rando from Uber, they got me drunk on arrival (just kidding yummy rum punch welcome drink) and its a stones throw from beach and all these charming little Jimmy buffet"ll do ya 😀 smash burger joints. I love the Mexican place down the street. Rent surf board smack across the street. Love it here. Stacy at desk is a doll. Very welcoming. Virginia is a sweetheart and Don very accommodating. Very great spot.

Brandon Jones 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★I'm a NSB native that grew up living on the beach and later working as a lifeguard and passing the Seahorse everyday during work. My family has been in the area for several generations. I now live on the other side of the state and recently stayed at the Seahorse with my own wife and (teenage) children while visiting family for the holidays. We weren't disappointed one bit. The Seahorse is the idyllic old Florida motor lodge. The new owners (since 2021) have done an excellent job cleaning and rejuvinating the hotel. The entire place, inside and out is CLEAN and in wonderful shape. My family loved the old Florida vibe from the original terrazo floors, to the knotty pine walls, and the pink tile in the bathroom. The location really can't be beat. It's maybe a couple hundred yard walk to the beach, right in the middle of everything going on on Flagler Ave and it's so nice in today's age to have your vehicle parked right outside your door in an assigned spot. It's also so easy to grab some of their beach chairs to hang out on the beach. We met the owner, Virginia, one morning and she was a delight to talk to. She's passionate about the Seahorse. I also enjoyed talking with longtime manager, Don about the history of the motel. We already made reservations for our next visit and we look forward to returning! It's so nice to have our own space while visiting family.
