Jennifer 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family coming back home. The hospitality alone felt like sitting around the kitchen table with loved ones — chatting, laughing, and enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal together. I love both sweet and savory, and my grits, sausage, and eggs paired with a sweet potato mini waffle were an absolute dream. Also, don’t miss the fried shrimp — the batter is light, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. Don’t pass by this hidden gem without stopping in — you won’t regret it! God bless you all. ***** 06/13/26 ***** We drove back—and it’s a two-hour drive for us to get here, but it’s absolutely worth every mile! Once again, we were welcomed like family. Coming here feels less like dining out and more like coming home for a visit. The food is genuine comfort cooking at its finest. The oxtail was incredibly tender with a generous portion, and you absolutely cannot skip Barbara Jean’s dressing—it’s comfort food perfection. Be sure to order the grits, collard greens, and shrimp. And yes, the cornbread waffle is a must! I dipped mine in syrup because… why not? 🥰 This definitely won’t be our last visit. When a place feels like home, two hours is nothing. Thank you for the wonderful food, warm hospitality, and unforgettable experience. God bless! 💕

Michelle 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★Stopped by Hill’s Chicken & Waffles in Edgewater and was very impressed! I ordered the two chicken waffle sliders with a side of collard greens, and everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, while the waffles had just the right balance of sweetness to complement the savory chicken. The collard greens were packed with flavor and made the perfect side. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food here. Great portions, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back, I can’t wait to try the oxtails next time. Highly recommend!

Rachele Funk 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★This is the kind of place we love to find. Of the beaten path and not a franchise. This family owned gem has the best chicken. Ask about her special sauces! We had a blueberry sweet and hot sauce and over the chicken and waffles it was divine. We tried the oxtail which I have never had but would highly recommend. Home made grits. We did a trio of mini dessert waffles and tried the recommended sweet potato. My husband, who is not a sweet potato guy also loved it. They are friendly and welcoming and we would love to come back. If you find yourself in the area give it a try. You won’t be sorry.

Allison Gilmer 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★The BEST Fried chicken in Edgewater by far! Reminds me of my momma's fried chicken, which is hard to beat for this Southern girl. The waffles melt in your mouth, so very delicious. You won't go wrong eating at this establishment. Outstanding food and service was great!

Barbara Hibbler 5 out of 5 stars★★★★★We drove about an hour to get to this restaurant. It was well worth the drive! The food and the atmosphere was excellent. Upon walking in we were greeted with “Welcome to the family”. Several people checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our food. They truly made you feel like family. Our waitress Lynice was top notch! She gave several suggestion and makes a mean special Tracy’s lemonade and Iced caramel macchiato! The chicken and waffles are to die for!! Next visit, because there will be a next time, we will definitely try the oxtails.
