Every year, we come to Daytona Beach Shores for vacation and, every year, we stop by here for a fabulous seafood dinner! The fried scallops are some of the best you'll have. The shrimp and grits is also a great choice! Get the shrimp blackened for extra zest! Try a Cigar City Brewing "Fancy Papers" IPA, it's fabulous on a hot day! Great service and friendly staff! Seating along the outside deck is a must!

We visited Deck Down Under again, and it was just as enjoyable as we remembered. One thing to know before you go — when you walk in, you’re handed a menu, then you place your order at the counter before finding your own seat. The ambiance here is really cool. If the weather is nice, definitely try to sit outside. The restaurant sits right along the water, and you can spot all kinds of wildlife while you eat, which makes the experience even better. The food was very good. We ordered the grouper fingers and the conch fritters, and both were incredibly tasty. Overall, I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem when visiting the Daytona Beach area. Great atmosphere, good food, and a relaxing waterfront setting make it a place worth visiting.

Highly recommended place to eat from other locals. Wonderful patio to sit in the sun, enjoy a drink, and eat some seafood. You stand in line to order then grab a table which was different but moved rather quickly. The crab salad appetizer was the best part!

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid whenever we are in town for vacation. I’ve never been disappointed. The food is fresh and tastes fantastic, service is always good, and the views are beautiful. I will always sing this restaurants praises. My husband and I come at least once when we’re here, but usually at least twice. I would have pictured my husband’s dinner, but it was so good he scarfed it down. P.S. You may even see some dolphins on the backwater.

We eat at Deck Down Under often and have always been happy with both the food and the service, which is why I’m leaving an honest review about our most recent visit. This was the first time we ordered the fried shrimp, and unfortunately it was terrible. It had no flavor, no seasoning, and the breading was just awful. I took my grandkids, and this was my grandson’s meal. When he said it was “gross,” three of us tried a piece ourselves, and all three of us spit it out. It was simply inedible. The one thing he did enjoy was the fries. I understand that every restaurant can have an off day, and this experience won’t keep us from coming back because we’ve had many good meals here. However, I was disappointed that no replacement or alternative was offered, especially considering how expensive the shrimp was. We’ll definitely return, but we won’t be ordering the fried shrimp again. I hope this was just a one-time issue because we’ve always enjoyed dining at Deck Down Under.
