Ponce Inlet Lighthouse & Museum: Climbing Into History
Walk through the white picket fence at the Ponce Inlet & Lighthouse Museum and step back in time at one of the nation’s best-preserved historic light stations, maintained by the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1998, this iconic landmark is the tallest lighthouse in Florida and the second tallest masonry lighthouse in the United States. Visitors can climb 203 steps to the top of the 175-foot tower for sweeping views of Ponce Inlet, the shoreline, and the surrounding inland waterways. The museum is open year-round, daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
