After spending the morning in New Smyrna with my wife and mother, we decided we wanted to grab lunch. I remembered hearing great things about Panheads Pizzaria so we decided to try it out. So glad we did, because we had an excellent experience! Ironically, as we walked up to the establishment, a random guy who had just parked his pickup told us "that place is really good!" This gentleman's foreshadowing was on point. Upon entering our waitress, Emily, greeted us with a warm welcome and seated us in the outdoor area. She was very friendly and her customer service was excellent. We proceeded to order the large pie special which included 4 specialty options on their rectangular style pizza, all on the same pie! This was perfect because we all wanted to try different pizza's. All the selections looked interesting but we decided in the following 4: Simple Man (roma tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil), Paradise City (ham, bacon, pineapple), Hair Of The Beast (roasted chicken, bacon, banana peppers, jalapenos, blue cheese, roasted garlic, mild buffalo drizzle), and Nothing But A Good Time (pepperoni, sausage, ham, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives). Can I just say, that ALL of these were fantastic in their own way?! But I must say that the paradise city and Hair of the beast were my fav's. Special shoutout to the fresh basil and fresh mozzarella on the Simple Man pizza.

Food was amazing. I loved the classic meatballs. Savory and soft with an excellent marinara sauce. Also came with house made focaccia bread that was very good. Husband enjoyed the ring of fire pizza. It was so good he ate the entire thing which is rare for him. Emily was great. Very welcoming and helpful with information and suggestions. We will definitely be back. Just a note: the edges of the bathroom floor could use a bit if scrubbing, but other than that the place was clean.

As NSB locals, we know good food spots when we see them — and Panheads Pizzeria is one of those places that makes you proud to call New Smyrna home. Their Classic Rock themed menu is pure fun, and the Sweet Home Alabama pizza we ordered was a total standout. One bite in and it felt like a Southern anthem mixed with a beach-town sunset — warm, familiar, and packed with flavor. The vibe here fits NSB perfectly, laid back, friendly, and full of character. The staff keeps things rolling with “Nothing But a Good Time” energy, and every pizza that hit the tables around us looked like a headliner. Whether you're cruising down Canal, spending the day at the beach, or hosting friends from out of town, Panheads is an easy choice. Great people, great food, great local spirit — definitely a place that keeps our little beach town rockin’.
