    NSB Women's Heritage Trail

The NSB WOMEN'S HERITAGE Trail is a whole new way to explore the New Smyrna Beach area. Start your journey watching the surfers at Mary Bethune Park while dipping your toes in the sea. After a refreshing walk on the beach, set off for the Mary S. Harrel Black Heritage Museum. Next, stop off at Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve and the Atlantic Center for the Arts, founded by one of the most important women trailblazers in the New Smyrna Beach area, Doris "Doc" Leeper. Then head over to The Mary McLeod Bethune Home. Built-in the early-1900s, it was home to Mary McLeod Bethune, a prominent African-American educator, and civil rights leader. Create your adventure and tell tales from the trails when you post and confess your exploits along the way. It's not where you take the trail – it's where NSB trails take you.
