Kelley BookhardtHabitat for Humanity is one of my favorite thrift shops. Not only do they have a wide variety of items- clothing, books, tools, furniture, etc- their mission is so important. I really support what they do to provide affordable housing.

CamilaThis is one of my favorite thrift stores in my area. I love thrifting for clothes, but unfortunately this Habitat for Humanity ReStore isn’t the best spot for that—at least not for me. Their clothing selection is limited, and it’s been hard to find pieces in my size. I’ve visited over 30 times and have only found a couple of items that worked for me. I would guess that part of the reason there aren’t as many clothing options—especially for younger customers or smaller sizes—is because they probably receive more donations of home items than clothing. That actually inspired me to donate some of my own gently used, good-quality clothes. Hopefully others will do the same so the clothing section can grow and stay fun for everyone. However, if you’re looking for home décor or furniture, this is definitely the place! They always have great decorative pieces, and while some furniture can be a bit pricey for secondhand, it’s still more affordable than buying new. I found a beautiful desk and chair set for $100. I also love checking out their jewelry section. They don’t always have a lot in stock, but when they do, you can find really nice pieces. I found a necklace a couple of months ago that I wear all the time. The staff is always sweet and helpful—they really make the experience enjoyable.
